What PullFlick does and doesn't collect

When you choose Get video, the link is sent to PullFlick's server so it can read the public Snapchat page and return the video details. It is used for that lookup and is not written to logs or stored with your visit. PullFlick never asks for a Snapchat password, cookie or token.

To avoid repeating work, the server keeps the result of a lookup (the video's details, not the video) in memory for about 20 minutes, and for a few minutes when a link turned out not to exist. It is not tied to you and disappears automatically. Rate limiting uses a keyed hash of your network address that rotates every hour, not the address itself.

Video files are fetched by your browser directly from Snapchat's servers, which see your IP address and browser details under Snapchat's own policies. PullFlick's server does not receive the video.

Small files, such as thumbnails and profile pictures, pass through PullFlick's server so your browser can show and save them. Nothing is written to disk. A thumbnail may stay in the server's memory for up to 30 minutes so it loads faster; profile pictures are not cached.

PullFlick counts page views, estimated daily visitors and crawlers on its own server. It records the page and language, the referring site name, a country code, and broad browser, device and system categories. It does not store IP addresses, raw browser (User-Agent) strings, full referrer URLs or any visitor cookie.

To estimate daily visitors, the server mixes network and browser signals with a random salt that changes every day and keeps only the resulting irreversible value. Raw event records are deleted after 14 days. Daily summaries are kept for 90 days.

PullFlick can use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure traffic. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are always respected: if either is on, GA4 never loads. GA4 receives the page path and title without any query, plus ordinary browser and network information such as your IP address, and can set cookies. It never receives the links you paste, video details or file names.

Where the law requires prior consent (the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and other strict regions) or when your region can't be determined, GA4 loads only after you press Allow in the footer. In other regions it is on by default, and you can turn it off from the footer at any time.

GA4 counts are separate from PullFlick's own counts and are not added to them. You can change your choice at any time in the footer settings.

Use the footer settings to allow, decline or withdraw GA4. You can also clear site data in your browser. Files you save stay on your device under your browser's settings.

If a contact address is shown on the Contact page, use it for privacy requests. Send only what is needed, and never passwords or account data.
