How to save a public Snapchat video
The steps are the same on every device: copy one public link, paste it, save the file. What differs is where your browser puts it.
From Snapchat to your device
Find the public video
Open a Spotlight video or a public profile. If it needs you to be a friend or to log in, PullFlick can't reach it.
Copy its link
In the app, tap Share, then Copy link. On the web, copy the address of the Spotlight or profile page.
Paste, check, save
Paste the link on the PullFlick home page and choose Get video. Look at the preview, then tap Save video.
Saving on your device
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Tap Save video, then tap it once more when it says Tap again to save.
- Choose Download in the Safari prompt.
- Open Files, then Downloads, tap the video and use Share, then Save Video to add it to Photos.
Android (Chrome)
- Tap Save video and let the progress bar finish.
- Chrome shows a download notification and puts the file in Downloads.
- Open it from the notification, or find it in Files, then Downloads.
Windows, Mac and Linux
- Click Save video and wait for the progress bar to finish.
- The file appears in your browser's download list, usually the Downloads folder.
- Open it once to check that it plays properly.
If saving doesn't work
It says not found
The video may be gone or private. Open the link in a browser without logging in: if you can't watch it, neither can PullFlick.
Use the original file
If the direct save fails, choose Open original file, then press and hold (or right-click) the video and save it.
In-app browsers
Some social apps can't save files. Open PullFlick in Safari or Chrome and try again.
Before you share it
Saving a video doesn't give you permission to repost, edit or sell it. Get the rights you need from the creator first.
