How to download a Snapchat video

  1. Copy the link

    In Snapchat, open the public Spotlight or profile, tap Share, then Copy link. In a browser, copy the address.

  2. Paste it above

    Tap Paste, or paste into the box, then choose Get video. PullFlick never asks you to sign in.

  3. Save the video

    Check the preview, then tap Save video. The file comes straight from Snapchat to your device.

Where the video ends up

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Tap Save video, then tap it once more when it says Tap again to save.
  2. Choose Download in the Safari prompt.
  3. Open Files, then Downloads, tap the video and use Share, then Save Video to add it to Photos.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Tap Save video and let the progress bar finish.
  2. Chrome shows a download notification and puts the file in Downloads.
  3. Open it from the notification, or find it in Files, then Downloads.

Windows, Mac and Linux

  1. Click Save video and wait for the progress bar to finish.
  2. The file appears in your browser's download list, usually the Downloads folder.
  3. Open it once to check that it plays properly.

What PullFlick does not do

Private content

Private accounts, friends-only Stories, Snaps in chats and Memories can't be reached and aren't supported.

Watching anonymously

PullFlick is a downloader for public videos, not a Story viewer. It doesn't show you anyone's content it can't already see.

Bulk downloads

One video at a time. There is no whole-account download and no batch mode.

Public doesn't mean free to reuse

PullFlick is independent of Snap Inc. and works only with content anyone can open without logging in. Save videos you made or have permission to use: copyright and privacy rules still apply to public videos.

Questions before you save

Can I download a private Snapchat Story or a friends-only Snap?

No. PullFlick has no login, so it can only see what any visitor sees. Private accounts, friends-only Stories, chats and Memories can't be downloaded.

Does PullFlick work with Spotlight links?

Yes. Copy the link of a public Spotlight video and paste it in. This is what the tool is best at, and it saves the video file as Snapchat serves it.

How do I save every video from a profile?

You don't. A public profile link shows the videos the creator has made public, and you choose one at a time. There is no bulk or whole-account download.

What quality will I get?

The file Snapchat publicly serves, unchanged. PullFlick doesn't upscale or re-encode, so the resolution depends on how the creator's video was published.

Does the video pass through your servers?

No. The video goes from Snapchat's servers straight to your browser. Only small extras such as thumbnails and profile pictures go through PullFlick.

Why does my link say the video wasn't found?

The video may have been deleted or made private, a public Story may have expired, or the link may be cut off. Open it in a browser without logging in: if you can't watch it there, PullFlick can't either.

The download didn't start on my phone. What now?

Use Open original file, which appears when a direct save fails, and follow the short steps for your device. On iPhone, tap Save video a second time when it asks.

Is PullFlick free and is it linked to Snapchat?

It is free to use, with no account. PullFlick is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Snap Inc.
